Meet The Family - The 2nd Third

Meet Javlyn of The Gilded Mulberry
A beloved vendor at Salvage Sisters since 2021, Javlyn brings her distinctive eye for vintage and antique treasures to every corner of her thoughtfully curated booth. Before joining the SS family, she honed her passion for timeless style working at a natural food store and running a successful online shop specializing in vintage clothing.

Javlyn is a true lover of all things moody, and her space at Salvage Sisters reflects that — rich textures, soulful pieces, and nostalgic charm. It’s the kind of booth you don’t just want to shop... you’ll want to move in!

Outside the store, she loves spending time with her husband and family. As for her 2025 goals? She’s focusing on organization and continuing to bring in quality, affordable, and hard-to-find items — always with an emphasis on locally sourced inventory. The Gilded Mulberry is a constantly evolving treasure trove, so there’s always something new to discover.

Meet Sarah of Reclaimed by Sarah Jean Louise
Sarah joined the Salvage Sisters family in June 2025, but if you've been following us for a while, you may already recognize her. She's the creative force behind many of the beautiful social media posts for fellow vendor Classic Wren Designs, capturing the charm and personality that make Salvage Sisters so special.

By day, Sarah has been a dental assistant since 2003. While dentistry and decorating may seem worlds apart, it all makes perfect sense once you meet her. Both careers require patience, creativity, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to help people smile.

In her booth, Sarah celebrates the beauty of pieces with a past. She loves helping customers discover meaningful finds that transform a house into a home - pieces with character, history, and a story worth continuing.

Outside of the store, Sarah's greatest treasure is her family. She loves spending time with her husband and their three children. Now that her kids are grown, she's embracing an exciting new chapter of life - rediscovering old passions, reclaiming her own identity, and saying "yes" to all the possibilities that lie ahead.

Like many of our vendors, Sarah believes there's always something new to learn. She hopes to continue growing her merchandising skills by creating displays that showcase the beauty of every piece, while also refining furniture techniques so she can give even more forgotten treasures a second chance.

When customers visit Salvage Sisters, Sarah hopes they remember that they're shopping somewhere truly different. Every booth is filled with one-of-a-kind treasures they won't find in a big box store - items with history, personality, and the ability to bring warmth and character into a home.

Sarah lives by the quote, "Beauty isn't found in perfection... it's found in character, history, and the stories we choose to keep." We can't think of a better philosophy for someone who sees possibility in every piece and beauty in every story.

Meet Shelley – Classic Wren Designs
Shelley has been a valued part of the Salvage Sisters family since 2021. What began as a role on a collaborative team quickly blossomed into something uniquely her own. Starting with softscapes—think hand-sewn pillows, cozy textures, and inviting layers—Shelley’s artistry brought warmth and soul to every corner she touched. Today, she has transformed her own booth into a dreamy, French country haven where every item has been “refined.” From meticulously painted furniture to thoughtfully curated decor, nothing enters her space without her signature magic.

Step into Shelley’s booth and it feels like you've wandered onto the set of a perfect movie scene—one you never want to leave. Her ability to create beauty and harmony from the old, worn, and overlooked is what sets Classic Wren Designs apart.

Though her heart is always with her family, they'd be the first to tell you her true second home is Salvage Sisters. We’re thrilled to welcome her as our newest manager on staff. For Shelley, the best part of being here is having a creative outlet where the ideas swirling in her mind can finally come to life—and we’re all lucky enough to witness the result.

Meet Katrina of Katspaw Creations

Katrina has been a proud vendor at our store since 2022, bringing her signature blend of creativity, craftsmanship, and color to every piece she creates. A longtime craft show veteran, she originally set up shop in a Buffalo booth before finding her home with the Salvage Sisters team — a move that brought her closer to home.

Known for her vibrant, repurposed furniture, Katrina has a true talent for breathing new life into old pieces with bold, fun colors. In 2023, she expanded her artistic toolkit by adding the Iron Orchid Designs line to her booth, allowing her to craft even more distinctive and imaginative works.

Outside the store, Katrina treasures time with her daughter and her one-year-old grandson, who she describes as “truly a gem.” Inspired by her heritage as the granddaughter of a carpenter, she’s now turning her attention to wood and paint-washed pieces — a heartfelt goal for 2025, as she aims to honor her grandfather’s legacy with every new creation.

Katrina believes that “creativity is a skill that needs to be practiced,” and she’s here to inspire and guide you as you make your home a true reflection of your personal style. Stop by Katspaw Creations and discover how a touch of color and craftsmanship can transform your space.

Meet Katelyn - An Old Soul

Don’t let her short time on the team fool you (she joined us May 2025!) - Katelyn fits right in with her passion for all things vintage and beautifully worn-in. A self-proclaimed brass hoarder, she’s known for collecting treasures way older than she is. When she’s not thrifting for her next great find, you’ll catch her spending quality time with her fiancé, their dog, and her parents.

New to the store team but definitely not a stranger, Katelyn says:

"I've shopped here COUNTLESS times, styled my home with purchases from here and am so excited to be a team member now."

She's just getting started, but she’s eager to grow her skills, learn the ropes behind the scenes, and become a trusted resource for fellow vintage lovers. We’re so excited to have her on board!

Meet MaryAnn & Bernie of Countless Collections

If you’ve wandered through Salvage Sisters anytime in the past four years, chances are you’ve been drawn into the vibrant and ever-evolving world of Countless Collections, the booth run by husband-and-wife team MaryAnn and Bernie. This dynamic duo has made a name for themselves with their unique blend of vintage charm, eclectic treasures, and an inventory that truly lives up to the name—Countless!

MaryAnn may look familiar - she ran Mary’s on 5th, a shop in Little Falls known for its legendary garage sales. At Salvage Sisters, she and Bernie have built on that legacy with a curated selection that leans heavily into vintage glass: drinkware, Fenton glass, Mid-Century Modern finds, and lamps that light up more than just a room—they spark conversation.

Beyond vintage, they also showcase fun lines  like Re-design With Prima products and RG’s Salsa line, adding spice and creativity to their collection. And don’t overlook the furniture! One of their proudest additions since joining us has been the introduction of painted furniture, which now sits alongside oak and metal pieces to create a mix that’s as stylish as it is surprising.

MaryAnn lives for “the hunt”—and when she says it, it’s with a mischievous sparkle in her eye that tells you she’s probably just scored another incredible find at an auction or estate sale. Bernie is right there beside her, sharing the thrill and the joy of discovery. Together, they are fueled by their love for what they do and a desire to pass that joy on to every customer who steps into their space.

Stop by Countless Collections for a trip down memory lane, a touch of whimsy, and that good feeling that only comes from discovering something truly special. MaryAnn and Bernie can’t wait to share their passion- and their countless treasures - with you.

Meet Theresa - “Everyday Is A Treasure Hunt”

Theresa joined our vendor team in October 2024, but her roots in retail go way back. She got her start at just 12 years old, selling inside of her Grandmother’s antique store—and she's been hooked ever since.

With a keen eye for the eclectic and a passion for the unique, Theresa curates a booth full of quality antiques, whimsical collectibles, and artistic finds. A true lover of all things artsy, Theresa shares her creativity not just through her booth, but also in the classroom as a dedicated art teacher. She's also a master photographer with a deep appreciation for the beauty of everyday life—especially when it’s spent on the lake.

Her booth is a vibrant blend of styles and stories, filled with a variety of collections waiting to be discovered. One of her goals this year is to refine her staging so each item shines and treasures are grouped to tell a visual story. Stop by and explore—you never know what gem you’ll uncover.

Meet Desiree – Creative Designer & Earring Enthusiast

Desiree officially joined Salvage Sisters in 2021, but her journey with us started even earlier—she first showcased her work in a small corner of another vendor’s booth. With a background in graphic design and a passion for creativity, she’s always had an eye for bold design and unique details.

During the COVID lockdown, Desiree took a creative leap by investing in a Glowforge laser cutter—and she hasn't looked back since. Her primary focus is earrings, and she thrives on experimenting with different materials like wood, acrylic, and even macramé to create one-of-a-kind pieces.

When she's not designing, Desiree proudly takes on the role of “Domestic CEO” and is also a dedicated bookworm. Her reading goal for 2025 is an impressive 200 books, and she’s already more than halfway there!

Desiree loves the variety that Salvage Sisters brings to both vendors and shoppers alike, and she’s thrilled to be part of a space that celebrates creativity in all its forms.

Meet Heidi – One of the Originals
Heidi, of Black Dog Designs, is one of just two vendors who have been with Salvage Sisters since the very beginning - and it shows. From day one, she’s poured her heart into her space, and while it may not be the largest booth in the store, it always makes a big impression. Every inch is packed with charm, intention, and Heidi’s unmistakable creative touch.

Heidi is easily one of the hardest-working people we know. She brings that same passion and drive into her vintage finds, often researching the history behind each piece. There’s something deeply personal in what she collects - it reminds her of her mom and grandmother, and curating those memories into her space brings her genuine joy.

She has a gift for making everything in her booth coordinate just right. Whether it’s a soft color palette or a clever mix of textures and styles, her displays are always thoughtful, balanced, and beautiful. Heidi pays close attention to what sells, using it as inspiration for her next arrangement - always trying to think a step ahead. Her goal for 2025? Get more organized! When people know you repurpose items, you tend to gather a large collection quickly.

Outside of the store, Heidi loves to travel, garden, and spend time with her dogs. Her garden is her sanctuary, and like her booth, it’s a place where creativity and care come together.

We’re so grateful to have Heidi as one of our originals - her dedication, style, and heart help make Salvage Sisters what it is today.

Meet Diane – A Day One Treasure

Since the very beginning, Diane of Redeemed and Restored, has been a beloved part of our store’s story. Over the years, she’s made her mark in nine different booths, each one a reflection of her evolving style and ever-changing creativity. Her first love - home decor and painted furniture - still shines through in her displays, but she’s also embraced the joy of curating unique accessories that speak to every kind of shopper.  You’ll also find a charming selection of gnomes, mushrooms and other home decor items in her booth, each one hand-turned with care by her husband, Victor, using a variety of wood types.

Outside the store, her heart belongs to her grandchildren, but her soul is nurtured by her passions: gardening, crafting, and diving deep into the roots of genealogy. Whether she’s digging into family history or digging in the dirt, her favorite saying keeps her going: “Where there’s a will, there’s a way.”

Her journey through the store is a testament to that spirit—and we're so lucky to have her as part of our family.

Meet Angie – Resident Tech Geek & Creative Chaos Coordinator

Angie’s been part of the Salvage Sisters crew since 2017, and trust us - she has a lot to say about everything (and we love her for it). She’s our go-to for all things tech - including revamping our website - and you’ve probably seen her on our Facebook Lives, where her personality shines just as brightly as her creative projects.

Angie’s style has definitely evolved over the years. What began as a focus on entirely repurposed items has grown into a curated mix of home decor, clothing, and novelty treasures - and yes, if you’ve laid eyes on our infamous naughty cabinet, you’ve already seen Angie’s handiwork. A lover of all things from Dorothy Draper to vintage to modern, she never knows where inspiration will strike next.

Outside the shop, she loves spending time with her family. A recent empty nester, she’s always happiest when the kids come home. She also looks forward to her annual Torkelson Girl Trips with her mom, aunt, and cousins - usually involving factory tours, repurposed shops, and a suitcase full of fresh ideas to bring home.

Equal parts rule-follower and creative chaos, Angie is the spark behind so much of what makes Salvage Sisters what it is today - unexpected, unapologetic, and always a little extra.

Meet Genell - A Heart Full of Joy

Genell, along with her husband Jeff, has been part of the Salvage Sisters family for the past five years. They got their start on day one at our Baxter location, turning heads with their creative, eye-catching upcycled radios-turned-bars. Since then, they’ve made the move to our Waite Park location, where their focus has shifted to small furniture pieces and expanded into unique home and garden decor.

When she’s not refreshing her booth, Genell is all about her grandkids - just mention them and you’ll see her face light up! She and Jeff are also in the middle of a home remodel, so their days are full - but always filled by creativity and love.

This year, Genell’s goal is to keep her booth fuller and more refreshed, giving customers something new to discover with each visit. What does she want shoppers to know? “Salvage Sisters offers unique decor at affordable prices, all backed by a friendly, helpful team.” And if you get the chance to chat with her, you’ll quickly see - Genell’s sense of humor is just as delightful as her booth!
