Meet The Family - The 1st Third

Meet Ann Marie of Blue Crane Designs

Since 2023, Ann Marie has brought a strong sense of style - and just the right amount of authority - to the store. A former school administrator, she’s known to "rule the floor" when she’s working, keeping things running smoothly with confidence and a smile.

Her booth is all about creating an inviting atmosphere. She carefully curates pieces—especially painted furniture—that help customers imagine how each item could look in their own home. Her love for design shines through in every detail, blending antique, vintage, and farmhouse eras into a warm, timeless style.

Outside of the store, her main focus is Whiskey. (Not the drink—her beloved dog!) She finds peace decorating her own home and spending quiet moments in nature, especially while listening to the birds.

In 2025, she’s shaking things up with more variety in her booth—different styles, more options, and always that welcoming feel she’s known for. Whether you’re after something classic or eclectic, Ann Marie has a little something for everyone.

Meet Jo of The Weathered Cottage

Jo, the creative force behind The Weathered Cottage, has a keen eye for style and a love for all things beautifully unexpected. A proud member of Salvage Sisters since May 2019, Jo brings years of experience and passion to her carefully curated space—once owning her own shop, she now focuses on the thrill of the hunt, tracking down the unique and the extraordinary.

Her booth is a treasure trove of character and charm. At its heart is her signature greenery—faux flowers so realistic, you’ll have to touch them to believe they’re not fresh from the garden. But the flowers are just the beginning. Jo masterfully blends vintage decor (a treasure that's getting harder to find) with hand-painted furniture and one-of-a-kind pieces that tell a story. From statement light fixtures to eclectic artwork, her booth offers a warm, thoughtfully collected vibe that feels both timeless and fresh.

Outside the shop, Jo recharges by the lake, soaking in pontoon rides and peaceful sunsets. She also enjoys the open road from the back of her and her husband’s trike motorcycle—another way she embraces life’s little adventures.

Whether you're searching for that perfect piece to complete a space or just browsing for inspiration, Jo’s booth is a must-see. It’s a cozy corner where creativity meets comfort—and every item feels like it’s found its way home.

Meet The Two Sisters Behind Trinity Gifts!

Paula and Carrie are two sisters with a shared passion for creating beauty and a heart for connection. Together, they curate a home decor booth filled with one-of-a-kind finds, vintage treasures, and handcrafted pieces—all offered at prices that make it easy to bring joy and warmth into your home.

Inspired by the creative gifts God has given them, they find purpose in using their talents to make spaces more beautiful and meaningful. Whether it's a cozy throw pillow, a repurposed antique, or a unique wall hanging, everything they offer is chosen with love and intention. But it’s more than just décor—their booth is a place where stories are shared, friendships are formed, and faith is encouraged.

“We love connecting with our customers, many of whom return again and again not just to shop, but to chat, laugh, and find something that speaks to them. We also offer a carefully selected collection of spiritual and devotional books, including the beloved Jesus Calling—which, by God’s grace, we’ve had the joy of placing in over 500 hands. We’re grateful for every visitor and every moment of connection, and we can’t wait to meet you at the booth!”

Paula joined the Salvage Sisters team in 2016 and Carrie joined her one year later.  Outside of the store they both enjoy spending their time with family, friends and staying active.

Meet Sara - Eclectic Whimsey
Sara is a retired school teacher who’s traded in her chalkboard for quilting squares and quirky treasures. While she’s known for her calm and cheerful nature, she’s still got that legendary “teacher voice” and the classic “teacher look” tucked away - used only when absolutely necessary!

Her booth is a delightful mix of charm and character, with a special focus on handcrafted quilted items and sewing-inspired pieces. Every item reflects her love for creativity and a hint of playful personality. When she's not sewing or curating her booth, Sara is happily on-the-go, keeping up with her grandchildren and all their endless activities.

Sara has big plans for the year ahead—mainly organizing her merchandise and, in her words, “organizing her quirkiness.” She loves being part of Salvage Sisters, drawn in by the warm, welcoming atmosphere and the sense of community that makes this place feel like home.

Just don’t catch her off guard—her go-to line? “I’ll get back to you.” Classic Sara.

Sara has been with Salvage Sisters since 2015.

Welcome Bonnie of Artisan Renewal – Where Vintage Meets Verdant Charm

Step into a curated world where timeless treasures meet natural beauty. Bonnie’s eye for mixing the old with the new brings life to every piece in her booth. From botanical-inspired finds to richly textured accents, each item tells a story—and invites you to start your own.

Raised by a true "girl dad," Bonnie learned early how to wield a wrench and spot a diamond in the rough. Whether it was fixing up furniture or tagging along to auctions, she developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, history, and design. That legacy lives on in every thoughtfully chosen piece you’ll find here.

Rooted in nostalgia, refreshed with a modern twist - Artisan Renewal is where nature, texture, and timeless character come together.

“Some things are new, some things are used, some things are repurposed and some things are renewed.”

Bonnie has been an asset to the store since July 2024.

Meet Linda – Vintage Curator & Color Enthusiast

From the moment she pulled into the parking lot, Linda knew she had found something special. Just three months after Salvage Sisters opened, Linda of Rags to Riches became part of our store family—and her booth has been a favorite destination for vintage lovers ever since.

With 33 years of retail display and selling experience, Linda brings a masterful eye for design, balance, and beauty to every inch of her space. Her passion for the charm and nostalgia of all of the mid-century decades, shines through in her colorful vintage glassware, curated treasures, and thoughtfully styled vignettes. Known for her knack for creating striking color pairings, Linda’s displays are vibrant, cohesive, and endlessly inviting. Think Grandmacore—but cooler. That’s Linda.

Always evolving, she’s now excited to return to painting and refinishing furniture—adding a fresh, creative layer to her ever-changing booth. But for Linda, it’s never just about the merchandise. As she puts it, “it’s the hunt” that fuels her—the thrill of discovering unique pieces and sharing them with others is what truly inspires her.

Stop by Linda’s booth to see what’s new. You never know what gem you’ll uncover—but you’re sure to leave inspired.

Linda has brought the cool to the store since 2015.

Meet Michelle – Owner of Green Meadow Boutique

Michelle is the creative force behind Green Meadow Boutique, a treasured vendor at Salvage Sisters since 2019. Though Salvage Sisters is her side hustle, Michelle brings full-time passion to everything she does. By day, she’s a dedicated professional who’s held her full-time job at the same company for an impressive 30 years. But in her off-hours, she dives headfirst into her love of crafting and creating.

Michelle specializes in handmade treasures - everything from charming wall signs and shelf sitters to sublimated coasters and custom t-shirts. Her booth is a reflection of her artistic flair and attention to detail, and customers love the personal touch she brings to every item.

Beyond her booth, Michelle is the powerhouse behind the scenes, coordinating all of our store events. Simply put, we couldn’t do it without her. She keeps us organized, on schedule, and motivated - with her no-nonsense, get-shit-done attitude leading the charge every time.

Outside the store, Michelle is enjoying a new chapter as a proud Gigi. She’s passionate about cooking, exploring craft sales, thrifting for hidden gems, and planning her next trip to Disney World. Her goal for 2025? To be even more efficient with her time so she can spend more of it doing what she loves.

Salvage Sisters just wouldn’t be the same without her.

Bev

Meet Linda – Vintage Enthusiast & Snowbird Extraordinaire

Linda has been part of the Salvage Sisters family since 2016, bringing charm, creativity, and plenty of personality to our vendor team. With roots stretching back to her first chenille snowmen in 1999, Linda’s vintage-inspired creations have warmed hearts across the country. She’s been a vendor in MN, WI, IL, AZ, and NE - yes, she really gets around!

Her booth, Vintage Creations, is a vibrant mix of fun fabric finds, nostalgic treasures, and all things vintage. When she’s not curating the perfect piece, Linda’s husband joins in the creative fun - crafting unique lamps and furniture from their shared love of repurposing.

A proud Arizona snowbird, Linda has a loyal following of customers who eagerly await her sunny return each season.  She’s a traveler at heart—with one kid nearby and the others in Colorado and Montana, she’s always up for a trip.  A golf lover, an avid reader (ask her for book recs!), and a rock 'n' roll aficionado - especially if we’re talking the Rolling Stones.

Linda loves being part of the Salvage Sisters crew for the endless variety and, of course, the amazing people. Stop by her space, say hello, and soak in the joy she brings to every vintage treasure!

Meet Jessica - Laser Cut Creator & Nature Enthusiast

Jessica has been a part of the Salvage Sisters family since 2021, and we’re thrilled that she chose our shop for her very first vendor experience! With a passion for creativity and craftsmanship, Jessica brings a unique variety of laser-cut items to the store - each one designed to fit beautifully into any home and spark joy with every use.

Have you seen her incredible National and Minnesota Park maps? They’re just the beginning! Jessica is always dreaming bigger - she’s already setting her sights on creating a full world map someday, pushing both her laser and her imagination to new limits. And be sure to keep an eye out - painted furniture will be making its way into her booth soon!

When she’s not creating, Jessica loves spending time outdoors with her family. She thrives in the warmth of summer, especially while camping, but winter holds a special place in her heart. No matter the season, Jessica brings that same sense of warmth and welcome into everything she does. Her biggest hope? That everyone who walks through the doors of Salvage Sisters feels right at home - like they’re part of the family.

Meet Christine - Hollyhock House

Christine first joined our team at the Waite Park location, but when our Brainerd store opened five years ago, Christine made the move north and has been an essential part of the Brainerd team ever since.  In her own words:

Welcome to my world of vintage chaos and repurposed charm!  I specialize in one-of-a-kind furniture and home goods with a shabby chic, cottagecore twist - blending vintage charm, cozy textures and a touch of rustic elegance.  I've been lovingly called a hoarder - but I prefer "creative curator of forgotten treasures."  I hoard with pride!  I also love to travel and hunt for the next great find!  Who would have thought the beach would be hiding this kind of treasure?  I'm always dragging my ever-patient husband on treasure hunts and chasing after our spririted five year old.  The best finds always seem to appear when you least expect them.  I hope you find something here that speaks to your soul.

Christine

Meet Ashley of PLB Threads

Hi, I’m Ashley!  I’m a small-town wife and mom of three who absolutely loves creating fun, bold graphic clothing that stands out.  Every piece I make is one-of-a-kind – no two are ever the same.  I use a unique ice-dying technique that doesn’t just color your world, it’ll ice the competition!

I started my journey as a vendor in 2022, bringing my passion for creativity to life one shirt at a time.  Each piece is handmade with love, and I truly hope you enjoy wearing them as much as I enjoy making them.  Thank you for supporting our small business – it means the world!

When I’m not working on new designs, I serve as a paraprofessional during the school year.  Life is always busy with my three kids, who keep me on my toes playing at least three sports year-round.  But in the middle of the chaos, I find joy in creating something special just for you.

We are so happy to have Ashley as part of the Salvage Sisters Team!

Meet Bruce -  Insightful and Self-Proclaimed Nester

Bruce’s journey with Salvage Sisters began the way all great stories do -  with curiosity, creativity, and a love for beautiful spaces. A longtime shopper who came in whenever she needed a spark of inspiration, she first dipped her toes into vendor life by sharing a booth for one month. July 2024 had her renting her own space, and it didn’t take long for her to find her stride.  Upon meeting her, you’ll learn that she uses her maiden name as her first name.  Just one way she uses something “old” and makes it new!

Bruce has always painted and decorated as a hobby, with a deep appreciation for repurposing. Growing up as a second-generation Norwegian-American, she was raised by resourceful hands that believed in making the most of what you have. Surrounded by people who could look at something and see endless possibilities, she inherited that vision — and today, it shows in every piece she curates.

A self-described "nester," Bruce delights in creating warm, welcoming spaces. Her booth is a reflection of that - cozy, thoughtful, and full of character. Beyond the shop, she’s deeply involved in church and community volunteer work, living out her belief that life is richer when shared with others.

Upon retirement (after staying past the usual retirement age because she loved it so much), Bruce relocated to Minnesota to be closer to her three beloved grandchildren - and yes, she’s their full-time professional Uber driver, proudly shuttling them to wherever life takes them. Her 2025 goal is to add more original, hand-painted motifs to her home decor offerings, blending her artistic flair with her love for storytelling through objects.

We’re so glad Bruce has come out of retirement for us. She reminds us what Salvage Sisters is really about: creativity, community, and finding joy in the things - and people - that bring meaning to our spaces.

Meet Tory - A Warm Cottage Feel

Since 2023, Tory has been a cherished part of our vendor family, bringing her creative flair and unique eye for design to the store. By day, she's a dedicated nurse manager who loves her career in healthcare, even with its daily stresses. But in her off-hours, she channels her energy into this passion project - a side hustle that feeds her soul.

Specializing in home décor and gently used clothing, Tory has a knack for blending vintage, rustic, and cottage styles into warm, welcoming displays. Each piece she curates has been gathered with care over time, creating a harmonious and cozy aesthetic that reflects her thoughtful approach to design.

Outside of work and the store, Tory finds joy in caring for others and spending time with her family. She's currently focused on organizing her storage units, leaning into her natural skills to make the most of her space. As she says, “Starting is always the key.”
